Permitted Listings

Only listings for the following types of instruments may be created on PianoHub:

• acoustic upright pianos
• grand pianos
• digital pianos and electric keyboard instruments
• related keyboard instruments (e.g., keyboards, clavichords)

If you wish to offer other products or services, please contact our support team first. Listings that do not fall within the above categories will be removed without notice.

Not a Sales Platform

PianoHub is not a sales platform and does not process purchases or sales. We merely provide a platform where sellers and interested parties can connect. All purchase contracts are concluded exclusively between buyer and seller.

Truthful Information

All information you provide – especially in listings – must be truthful, complete, and current. You are obligated to promptly update or delete your listings when circumstances change (e.g., when the instrument is sold).

Authentic Images and Videos of the Instrument

Images and videos attached to a listing must show genuine photos of the actual instrument being offered. Light editing is permitted (for example brightness and contrast adjustments, cropping, or blurring people, backgrounds, or private spaces to protect your privacy), as long as it does not materially change or embellish the condition or appearance of the instrument. AI generated or AI edited images and videos, stock photos, and photos of an instrument other than the one being offered are not permitted.

Exception for new instruments: Verified partners may use official manufacturer images of the relevant model for brand new instruments they distribute but do not currently have in stock, instead of a photo of the specific unit. This applies only to new instruments in the exact configuration and color offered by the manufacturer. For used instruments, photos of the actual unit are always required.

Compliance with Laws

You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using PianoHub. In particular, you may not create listings or publish content that:

• violates applicable law (e.g., fraud, copyright infringement, defamation)
• is offensive, discriminatory, glorifies violence, or is otherwise harmful
• contains misleading or false information
• infringes the rights of third parties (e.g., trademark rights, privacy rights, copyrights)
• includes spam, advertising for third parties, or fraudulent intentions

Security and Access

Since PianoHub does not require user accounts, you access your listings via secure token-based links sent by email. You are responsible for keeping these links confidential and not sharing them with third parties. If someone gains unauthorized access to your emails, please immediately inform our support team.

Automated Data Collection (Scraping)

The automated retrieval, collection, copying, or storage of platform content using bots, crawlers, scrapers, or other automated tools is strictly prohibited. This applies in particular to:

• listing data (prices, descriptions, images, contact details)
• user data or email addresses
• structured database content or metadata
• technical information about the platform or its infrastructure

Exceptions apply only to search engine crawlers that respect robots.txt and partners with express written permission.

Republication of Content

Copying, reproducing, distributing, or otherwise using platform content (including listings, images, texts, and designs) in other media, websites, or applications is prohibited without express written consent from the operator. This includes in particular:

• republishing listings on other platforms or websites
• using PianoHub content in aggregator services or price comparison portals
• commercial use of platform content without permission
• mirroring or completely copying the website or parts thereof

Platform Interference

You may not take any actions that could impair the functionality, availability, or security of the platform. This includes in particular:

• unauthorized intrusion into systems or circumvention of security measures
• denial-of-service attacks or excessive requests to servers
• uploading or distributing malware, viruses, or harmful code
• manipulation or falsification of platform content or functions

Fraudulent Behavior

Any form of fraudulent behavior is strictly prohibited, including false identities, fake listings, the use of AI generated or otherwise misleading image and video content, phishing attempts, or other deceptive actions.

Platform Content

All content on the PianoHub platform – including design, texts, graphics, logos, software, structure, and layout – is protected by copyright and is the property of the operator. Use is permitted exclusively for personal, non-commercial purposes.

User-Generated Content

By uploading content (for example, listing descriptions or images) to PianoHub, you grant the platform a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, display, and distribute this content to the extent reasonably necessary to:

• operate and display the relevant listing or profile
• provide and further develop PianoHub
• promote the listing
• promote PianoHub and its services, including by featuring listings, users, or services on the PianoHub website, on social media, in newsletters, and in other promotional material

This license does not transfer ownership of the content. You warrant that you have all necessary rights to the uploaded content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.

Promotional material that has already been published, such as social media posts or newsletters, is not automatically removed if a listing is later deleted.

You remain fully responsible for the content you publish on PianoHub. In case of copyright infringement or violation of other third-party rights, the operator reserves the right to immediately remove the relevant content and block the email address used for publication from further use of the platform.

Role of the Platform

PianoHub acts solely as an intermediary platform connecting buyers and sellers. We are not party to purchase contracts between users and do not process payments. All transactions, communications, and agreements occur directly between users. Statutory liability provisions apply.

Buyer Diligence

PianoHub does not independently inspect the instruments listed on the platform. Descriptions, photos, condition details, and prices are provided by the sellers. Before purchasing an instrument, buyers should carry out whatever checks they consider appropriate, such as an in-person viewing or, depending on the value and type of the instrument, an inspection by an independent piano technician. Any statutory rights against the seller remain unaffected.

Meaning of Verification

Verified partner profiles are marked with a verification badge. Verification confirms that PianoHub has taken reasonable steps, as part of the partner onboarding process, to check the business details provided (for example, that the business exists and that the applicant is authorized to represent it). It is not a guarantee or warranty of a partner's professional qualification, reliability, financial standing, or the quality of the instruments or services offered. Users should still form their own judgment before entering into a transaction, despite the verification. PianoHub may withdraw or amend a verification if the underlying information changes, is no longer current, or can no longer reasonably be verified.

No Guarantee of Outcome

PianoHub does not guarantee that a listed instrument will sell, that a listing will receive a particular number of views or inquiries, that a prospective buyer will complete a proposed purchase, that an offer will be accepted, or that using the platform will produce any particular commercial outcome.

User-Generated Content

Listings and other content are created by users. We do not review this content for accuracy, completeness, or legality. Responsibility for content lies exclusively with the respective users.

Platform Availability

PianoHub aims to keep the platform reliably available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The platform may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, security measures, updates, or circumstances outside the operator's reasonable control. The operator may make reasonable changes to the platform, its features, and the way services are provided as PianoHub continues to develop.

Links to Third-Party Websites

The platform may contain links to third-party websites and services, such as partner websites, manufacturer pages, or payment providers. PianoHub is not responsible for the content, availability, security, or practices of these independent third-party websites. Use of a linked website is subject to that provider's own terms and privacy policy.

Limitation of Liability

PianoHub is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, under the German Product Liability Act, and for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health. For damages caused by ordinary negligence, PianoHub is liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation, a duty whose fulfillment makes proper use of the platform possible in the first place and on whose observance users may regularly rely; in that case, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Beyond that, liability for ordinary negligence is excluded. The above limitations do not apply to claims arising from fraudulently concealed defects or from an assumed guarantee. Statutory rights, in particular for consumers, remain unaffected by this clause.

Termination by User

You may terminate your use of PianoHub at any time by deleting your listings and ceasing to use the platform. Your email address will be stored only as long as necessary to complete existing conversations in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Operator Measures

In case of violations of these Terms of Use or applicable law, we reserve the right to remove affected listings without prior notice and block the email addresses used for publication from further use of the platform.
