Origin & History
Fazioli was founded in 1981 by Paolo Fazioli in Sacile, near Venice in northern Italy, making it the youngest of the major concert grand brands. The company remains independent and family-owned, deliberately building small numbers.
Positioning
Fazioli is an ultra-premium brand that builds grand pianos exclusively, and alongside Steinway is one of the most expensive and exclusive piano brands in the world.
Sound character
Fazioli grands are known for exceptional power and clarity of projection, and the flagship F308 also has a fourth pedal that varies the depth of touch for additional tonal color.
What to check
Since the brand has only existed since 1981, a used Fazioli is at most a little over four decades old. For unusually cheap listings, check authenticity and provenance especially carefully, the high price level creates an incentive for fakes. More in the piano buying guide.
