Origin: We acquired this Ibach piano in the greater Kassel area. The previous owner moved abroad and was therefore unable to take it along. Work carried out: - All wear parts were inspected and replaced where necessary; screws were tightened - New regulation of the action - Acoustic system inspected Description: This piano belongs to the final production series of Ibach (1794–2007). The “Exclusive” version refers to the more elaborate design, further enhanced by the elegant yew veneer finish. Although this Ibach, with its height of 118 cm, is not a traditional concert-sized upright, it does not shy away from comparison with larger equivalents. Its tone fills the room and has a rather warm character. The action’s wear parts are in virtually like-new condition. After our regulation, it plays like a new premium instrument. Surface / Design: The “Exclusive” version already makes this instrument a visual highlight. Notably, in Ibach's special editions, the individual elements such as the keyboard desk, consoles, lid, etc., are proportionally well balanced. While this should be self-evident, many piano manufacturers pay little attention to such details, resulting in instruments that can appear somewhat awkward. Not so with Ibach. It is a pleasure to discover details that you will not even find with some of the well-known luxury manufacturers. While these details are not relevant to sound or action, they reflect the mindset with which the piano was built. Examples include: - One-piece fallboard, similar to a grand piano - Elegantly designed wooden lid prop, veneered to match - Lid interior veneered to match - Wooden upper frame locks - Finely bronzed cast-iron plate accented with a gold cord - Beautifully shaped pedals There is, however, one minor flaw: on the rear right side there is a small chip. It is not particularly noticeable but still clearly visible. Due to the special veneer, it is difficult to conceal. We are willing to grant an appropriate discount for this reason.
